Step 1: Plan your holiday product list and determine if you need advanced notice for any products. If you do, communicate with your market manager so they can set up a special preorder market.
Step 2: Create the products. Be sure to include ordering deadlines and delivery date in the description. Leave the products inactive until after Step 3.
Step 3: Use the Product Availability by Market tool to mark the preorder products "Unavailable" in non-preorder markets.
It is also recommended that you curate your preorder market selection to be relevant to the holiday, in order to properly highlight the items requiring preorders.
Please remember that a preorder is a commitment so these customers are expecting the full order to arrive on that day.
Step 4: Communicate with your market manager that your products are ready and then change preorder products from "unavailable" to "for sale"
Step 5: Use the vendor marketing toolkit to announce your WhatsGood holiday specials to your customers
Day of Delivery Notes:
The preorder market shows as another market. If you do not participate in any other market, you can just filter only by delivery day so that all orders are consolidated on one order summary.
If you participate in multiple markets on the same day, you will want to print reports for both your regular market AND the preorder market.
